in jamis bikes I make a point to stock CHILDREN'S bikes, hybrid bikes biased towards comfort and hybrid bikes more sport oriented, aurora touring bikes, xenith endura series bikes and some xenith sport bikes. I also carry hudson comfort bikes that are great for older people that want to get in to riding and some good quality entry level road bikes for those that want to go fast on a budget in the ventura series.
in the marin line of bikes i stock heavily in the hybrids that are on the sportier yet durable side of average for hybrids. great all rounders for commuting and recreational riding. bicycle boulevard also has the faster lighter hybrids for those wanting a bike that is lighter but not INTERESTED in drop style handlebars of the so called road bikes. MANUFACTURES try to figure what niche name will sell the most. this niche between road bikes with drop bars and hybrids with their RELATIVELY fat tires has a lot of different names. We like to call them fitness hybrids. in other words this style bike appeals to those people that want to get more speed and distance for their effort YET not be COMMITTED to the leaned over position that the drop bar demands.
